What is grinding?
Grinding processes are generally applied to obtain a precise and smooth surface, so that you can give your products a smooth surface, sharp (knives), cylindrical or profiled finish. It is also possible to grind tools, such as cutters and bores, panel saws and trimmer saws.
The abrasive grain often determines the surface smoothness (roughness). The smaller the grain, the smoother the surface. The distinctive feature of grinding is the high speed and small amount of material removal. Since precision products are manufactured by grinding, the grinding wheels have to run smoothly. It is therefore essential that they are accurately balanced.
