To promote and represent the interests of its members.
Vision:
The association’s activities primarily focus on profiling the sector as a whole, the members and their business activities in an effective and efficient manner. To this end, it is the task/responsibility of the Board to provide a professional interpretation and to deliver added value.
This is based on the continuity of the affiliated sector members, the collective representation of the sector interests in those areas where an individual member has no say, promoting (mutual) cooperation, individual position strengthening, job preservation and encouraging student inflow by offering training courses and strengthening the (international) market position.
The aim of the NPS is to represent the interests of its members in the broadest sense of the word. Moreover, it is extremely beneficial to take a stand as a group, to gain recognition and to seek contact with (public) bodies and other instances that are involved in the relevant regulatory and policymaking processes. In this context, the NPS can serve its members by taking as active a role as is possible. The association endeavours to achieve this goal via the legal channels and by utilising the resources specified in Article 3 of the Koninklijke Metaalunie’s Articles of Association, which are significant for the members and are in keeping with Metaalunie’s national policy.
The NPS’s mission primarily focuses on supporting its members in their activities. It seeks to bring customers from potential export countries into contact with those suppliers who best match their requirements as a trading partner. The NPS also develops activities to attract young, technically skilled professionals to seek work in precision grinding technology. In addition, the NPS members are supported in their day-to-day operations in general.
