Dr. Maharam,I’ve read your post a couple of times and I still don’t unerdstand what points you were trying to make. The post gives the impression that there is some great conflict in the medical community with much of the debate touching on issues that laymen don’t have good perspectives on.The fact of the matter is that even when laymen try to be engaged patients, over the short to medium term, we are generally unqualified to judge the quality of the medical care we receive, let alone the quality of the medical personnel. We are forced to trust that there is a system that ensures adequate quality. We might be qualified to judge the bedside manner of the doctor. But, maybe there is a poor correlation between bedside manner care quality.Several times I experienced situations where a doctor has given a very rational explanation of their diagnosis and recommended treatment only to have a new data arrive, or a different doctor get involved, and the diagnosis treatment radically change. Both explanations sounded very reasonable to me, yet they presented completely different versions of reality. This type of experience has convinced me that medical care is really, really complicated I’m unqualified to self diagnose or treat.Regarding PAs, etc, I certainly unerdstand the argument that PAs can provide adequate care. But, like most laymen, I don’t have the perspective to judge if this works in reality. When I read recommendations , like yours, to have a primary care physician, I don’t think this is a recommendation to have a PA, so I look for a physician.

Hi Judith, I could not agree more with your comments about using our professions to their full potential in roles that maximize access to care for the public. In addition there is a huge need to ensure that care is thought through from the client’s or patient’s perspective. As a patient I see a doctor or NP, recieve acute care at the hospital and home care for ongoing care. Having the journey well connected, being treated with dignity, working as a team, allowing me being the master of my destiny or at a least an equal partner in care is what I hope to see when I enter the system as a patient or family caregiver! As well we need to re-focus from the curative, disease focus to a wellness focus. As health care professionals we need to teach and model healthy lifestyles and promote hard wiring of prevention into our health system. Cheers! Sharon

Hi,I’m thinking about launching an EMT career – maybe the bravest, scariest, most noble, stress-packed, and useful occupation there is …..The thing is, I’m an editor for a science organization, nearly 50 years old, and married to a guy who’s also in school and isn’t looking forward to a whole lot of drama. But I’m smart and relatively fit, and really admire the field.Would you write about what it takes to be an EMT, the biggest hurdles, and what makes it all worth it.Thanks a lot very much,Liz

These are rather old DSLR’s and have not been made for a while. If you can find any, they will be used and not from the same supplier. If you need large quantities of cameras, contact and see what they can do for you. They would have to best access to large numbers of entry level or better DSLR’s.800.NIKON-UX and tell them what you need and the number of cameras you need. They may be able to supply you with what you need through NPS (Nikon Professional Services)References : digipro

Thanks for this! I just added it. However, when I type say, “addtask Remember the Eggs” it takes me to RTM and inserts “Remember the Eggs” into both the Task and Date field. How do you say, “addtask tomorrow Remember the Eggs” or equivalent?

I talked to Chris Bores before starting Terrible Films and he wished me the best of luck. It’s taken a while and a few good videos to ask him what he thought about our work. The outcome was his subscription to us. I completely support Chris in everything he does unlike some other angry gamers who doesn’t even give us the time of day.
